The Upper Mustang Jeep Tour is an incredible journey into the remote and mystical Himalayan region of Nepal, known as the “Last Forbidden Kingdom.” This adventure takes you deep into the ancient Kingdom of Lo, where Tibetan culture, centuries-old monasteries, dramatic cliffs, and high-altitude desert landscapes create a unique travel experience. The journey begins from Kathmandu and continues through the beautiful lake city of Pokhara before entering the Mustang region via the Kali Gandaki Valley.
The tour follows the historic route through Jomsom, Muktinath, Kagbeni, Chhuksang, and the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang. Along the way, you will discover traditional villages, ancient caves, sacred monasteries, and breathtaking landscapes that resemble the Tibetan Plateau. Unlike other Himalayan destinations, Upper Mustang lies in a rain-shadow area, making it accessible even during the monsoon season. Traveling by private jeep provides a comfortable way to explore this remote region, allowing you to experience the beauty, history, and culture of Mustang without long trekking days.
The Upper Mustang Jeep Tour is ideal for travelers who want to explore Nepal’s hidden Himalayan landscapes, experience Tibetan-influenced culture, visit ancient Buddhist sites, and discover one of Nepal’s most unique and preserved destinations.
