Detailed Itinerary

DAY1
Phulchowki Hike 1 Day Itinerary

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Godawari, home to the famous Godawari Botanical Garden and the starting point of the hike. After a short preparation, you'll begin ascending through dense forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron.
The trail steadily climbs through the Phulchowki Forest Reserve, one of Nepal's richest ecosystems, providing excellent opportunities to spot colorful birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. As you gain elevation, the cool mountain air and peaceful surroundings make the climb both refreshing and rewarding.
Upon reaching the summit of Phulchowki Hill (2,782 meters), you'll find a small shrine dedicated to the Hindu goddess Phulchowki Mai. On clear days, the summit offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and Himalayan ranges, including Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, and even parts of the Everest region in exceptional weather conditions.
After enjoying the scenery and a well-deserved break, you'll descend along the same trail back to Godawari before returning to Kathmandu.
